Speaking in my experience and what I have seen my whole life attending Twin Rivers Unified School District, I like there choosing of teachers and counselors, I have never came in contact in this district with a racist or disrespectful adult. The district makes sure you are on track with your education and offer different routes if your not. My AVID teacher has helped me get more than prepared for college, and that’s why I love the AVID program they have.. they prepare you for life after high school. They have many variety of clubs and even let students make their own clubs if it gets approved ! This makes people from different cultures or backgrounds get to know each other more . I do have to say that the Districts safety could make improvements. The high school I attend has no fences surrounding it, making it way too easy for a armed or dangerous person to get on campus.
My experience at twin rivers has been amazing. The teachers and staff are very friendly and genuinely want their students to succeed; i’ve never felt more comfortable in a classroom setting before, but, The only complaint I have is the administration’s response to bullying and one-sided fights which, from what I’ve seen, their usual response is to punish both parties instead of the instigator(s). Besides that, my experience has been very good and I would definitely recommend parents to enroll their children.
The best part of being a senior at the Twin Rivers Unified School District is the way they bring the diversity together. My least favorite part would be not enough resources for collage readiness.
