I have attended the Tuxedo Union Free School District all my life, from kindergarten to my Senior year in High School. I have made many memories here throughout the years, where I met some of my closest friends and have experiences I will never forget. If you do not like a big school and small classes, this is the school for you. Classes average about 18 kids, with about 100 kids or less in the whole high school (7-12th grade). This can be a positive if you need a lot of one-on-one help with a teacher because of the small class sizes.
The TUFSD just aced all of their state tests, especially when compared to the local surrounding districts, not to mention at the state level. Why? Because of the exceptional, fully rounded education being offered at this great district.
Administration is receptive, teachers are available digitally and in person, and copious services for students that are looking for extra help as well as extra educational challenges.

The elementary school K-6 is excellent especially if your child is shy or struggles academically. If your child is gifted or simply needs a bit more challenging work then the others in the class you will not find it here. This district can not handle the needs of all the children. 7th and 8th grades are housed in the High School. Grade size is limited to an average of 16 kids per grade. 9th -12th grade is also extremely low in population which is difficult socially as well as filling classrooms with teachers who teach different levels of courses. It can be compared to a one room school house but in a giant handsome old clock tower building which is totally unoccupied by children. Frankly it's a disaster. The high school can't field teams, no proms, AP courses are offered but limited and typically kids don't get the passing grade that Colleges require for credits to be used.
