I have attended Troy R-3 school district my entire childhood, from kindergarten all the up to now (senior year). Overall I’ve had a pretty decent time attending this district. I’ve had outstanding teachers, as well as coaches. I think Troy has an excellent community. Everyone here wants to see you put 110% and wants you to succeed. The only thing I would like to see different in the future is politics. The only downside of the Troy school district is “last name” double standards. When it comes to education and sports, students within the community who have a known last name tend to get favoritism. Overall I am proud of where I have received my education and look forward to my future education in college!

If you’re a sports affiliated family, you will absolutely love this school district! Not much else gets recognition, however. Most of administration are so kind and helpful but I think some situations need to be taken more seriously when it comes to students in general.
This school district has about 7 different schools, and the middle school and high school is very crowded. I think that they would benefit from a second high school. Most of the teachers in the district are amazing and show how much they care for the students and they do everything they can to help the students achieve their goals. The administration at the high school is well put together and they know what they are doing they know how to help kids to do better while still giving then the punishment they deserve for their actions.
