Overall, I have had a pretty good experience in the Troy City School district. The teachers at Troy obviously wants to be there and loves their job. I have had so many teachers that have changed my life for the better, whether it be in big ways or small random acts of kindness. Honestly, my only complaint would be the way Troy City Schools slightly neglects the arts. I believe that there are many students in the district that are immensely talented. Our arts programs are no doubt better than some other districts, but I would have liked to see a little more effort on behalf of the administration to nurture the talent in our city the way that they cherished things like sports. But as I previously stated, that has to be my only complaint. Our academics are fantastic and I am very lucky to have attended Troy City Schools.
Troy City School District is a great place to receive an education. The teachers are good at what they do and continuously show a deep passion for teaching. The administration is very caring and responds to new ideas well. A enormous diversity of classes are offered, and CCP classes are encouraged. Counselors at the high school are committed to preparing graduates for college. Overall my experience has been very positive.
Some personal reasons why Troy City School District made such a great impact in my high school career is because of the way they treat and enable their students to go above and beyond what a student thinks they can do. This school district gives students great opportunities to get more involved not only in the school, but the community. Troy City School district is a great place to send your kids, and I am firm on my opinion over that.
