Overall, I have had a pretty good experience in the Troy City School district. The teachers at Troy obviously wants to be there and loves their job. I have had so many teachers that have changed my life for the better, whether it be in big ways or small random acts of kindness. Honestly, my only complaint would be the way Troy City Schools slightly neglects the arts. I believe that there are many students in the district that are immensely talented. Our arts programs are no doubt better than some other districts, but I would have liked to see a little more effort on behalf of the administration to nurture the talent in our city the way that they cherished things like sports. But as I previously stated, that has to be my only complaint. Our academics are fantastic and I am very lucky to have attended Troy City Schools.

Faculty is very friendly with mostly younger teachers. With having a mostly younger faculty, the teachers are still very enthusiastic and take pride in their jobs of teaching. This in returns makes learning more enjoyable for the students.
The facilities are very old and most buildings have no air conditioning and have a hard time regulating the temperatures.
It would be nice if the English classes were to better prepare students with on how to properly site sources for college, as this is needed right away out of high school for those entering higher education. It would also be beneficial if there was a finance class to teach things like: credit cards, interest for loans such as mortgages, cars, student loans. It would also be beneficial to learn about managing household finances, investing, saving and even long term goals for retirement.
Troy High School (Ohio) is a diverse and excellent learning institution. Our teachers, counselors, and school board are very caring about our daily learning and safety. The atmosphere at our high school is conducive to getting a good education. I have gone through Troy City Schools from kindergarten until now, my senior year and I feel I have received a very good, well-rounded education.
