I love going to Town Of Webb Union Free School District because it is a small school. Everything is very personalized and the teachers have small classes so you really get to know your teachers. I am graduating with 18 other students and I can honestly say that we are all like family and we are all really close friends. I feel like my education at Town Of Webb has been the best I could have ever received. For being a small school there are still a lot of electives and AP classes to choose from. When I graduate, I will already have 15 credits towards college. There are also many clubs, activities and sports to be a part of that help build camaraderie and a sense of community. From building floats for our town parade in the Fall to decorating hallways during our Spirit Week, Town of Webb really tries to help everyone feel included and like you are a part of something.
My experience at Town of Webb high school was nothing more than life-changing. I had arrived there in 2012, facing the hallways in early September for the first time. Three months prior, I had completed my first 9 years of schooling in the United Kingdom. Town of Webb was exciting, kind, and easy flowing. The teachers were friendly and the students all knew each other. It was very close-knit and therefore everyone had each other's backs. I had my ups and downs when getting used to being in another country, but overall the experience was worth my five years there.
What I liked about Town of Webb was the music department specifically band. Mrs. Herrmann really brought us out of our shells and to just love music. I felt that she was more than a band teacher, but someone who could advise us in our high school years. The one thing that the Town of Webb needs to work on is the Math department. So many students struggle and one specific teacher really held kids back. I believe if the school would replace one specific teacher that the math department could get back on track and really prep the students for math excellence and college.
