After going to Torrington Public Schools for grades K-12, and graduating from Torrington High School this past year, I can confidently say that I would not change my experience. Torrington Public Schools has given me the skills to not only take on college academically, but also the ability to understand the world. The diversity and exposure to many disciplines that Torrington Public Schools gave me has helped me become a better person and grow into the person I am today. While the district wasn't perfect, and often struggled with budget problems, if you make the best of the experience with what the schools have to offer, they are truly remarkable.
The district has great teachers and staff. However, the school does spend money on unnecessary things which takes money away from the things that are really needed.
I loved my experience in the Torrington School District. However, this was because of the students. I made friendships I will never forget and will always cherish. With a few teachers I also made lasting relationships. I wish the buildings and supplies were newer and nicer, but overall there is not much I would change.
