Tomball Independent School District Reviews
I love this district! There are so many opportunities they give for me here. I feel welcomed and safe every day. They provide us rigorous classes and challenge us for the future and college. There are also so many activities here, such as sports, volunteer service, clubs, UIL, performance, and arts. Most teachers are prepared and ready to go. I would recommend to anyone!
Tomball is a great school for those with disabilities. Both of my children had speech impediments at a young age. Tomball started them in speech therapy as soon as they could get them in the program. They have also worked closely with their ADHD, and OCD tendencies. I do not feel as though they leave my son out, as he is the child that needs the most help. In fact they hold him to the same standards with the same expectations as everyone else, but still allow for IEP and 504 accommodations. I do wish the middle and intermediate schools didn't have so much freedom on the children leaving school, and the school schedule is not conducive to divorced parents but all in all its an awesome district.
There are many positive things that go on in the Tomball school district. I have found that the majority of the staff is very pleasant, but also very stern and priority-driven when it comes to educational counseling. The schools have generally been clean and the campuses are pretty to look at. The extracurriculars are well supported and always a good time. I feel that the issues within the district lie among the minority of staff that seems to have no interest in actually teaching children, but that minority makes a large difference when it becomes your problem as a student for an entire year. Overall I would say the experience has been fun and educational minus a handful of rather hefty hiccups.
