Tipton County School District Reviews
The Tipton County school district is a safe and personal alternative to the unsafe, understaffed, crowded public schools of neighboring Shelby County, where Memphis is located. The district is about 45 minutes away from the city, providing good access to activities, while still retaining a rural, community type of mood. The schools often times have immense rivalries, but they are all based upon a sense of community and friendly competition. The few complaints include the district many times being underfunded, and drug problems, mainly with marijuana.
To me, certain Tipton County Schools have a lot of potential. Great faculty and staff make the impossible possible with enthusiasm and good connections with students. When I attended Brighton High School, I loved the music program. It taught me great leadership skills and teamwork skills. A thing that I did not like was that some teachers from my school verbally expressed that they did not like their jobs and that they would rather have another occupation. I managed to make wonderful grades in school despite the negative energy I had to endure.
For me I was not in the Tipton County School District my whole school career. I moved from Illinois to Tennessee the end of my Junior year in high school. For me moving was a new and scary thing. While enrolling into Brighton High school they made sure I had all my classes set up and was more relaxed when I left. I had a good experience with Brighton high school. They gave me all the opportunities I needed in order to succeed. I graduated with a 3.8 GPA with National Honor Society because of the teachers and administration supporting and helping me. I would recommend any Tipton County School to anyone I knew that either just moved here from another state, or are trying to find a new and better school district.
