Throughout the four years of my attendance at Tigard High School, I admire many things from that school that have Helped me grow into the person I am today. I would first like to start with the sports program. I have ran track for 7 Years, 4 of which have been dedicated to Tigard High School. My coaches, teammates, and family members have pushed me so far to achieve my goals in Track and Field, and I couldn’t thank Tigard enough for helping me get there. I would also like to recognize the staff members during this tragic pandemic. They have worked so hard to put in everything they’ve got to make the Seniors feel celebrated, whether it be online or a drive through graduation. I’m proud to say that I am a Senior at Tigard High School, the graduating class of 2020, and Although Im heartbroken about my senior year being taken away from me, I’m glad that Ive gotten to be apart of a unique experience that will be remembered in the many years to come.

Overall, I loved TTSD and the tweleve years I spent in this school district. There were a lot of opportunities to get involved with the school and most of the staff was extremely encouraging and helpful. I connected with numerous teachers on a very deep level and I still go back to visit them. I was involved in numerous sports, clubs, and activities and I had a really positive experience with everything I was involved in. However, the current administration is not good and completely ignores the students needs. They are unprofessional and rude and talk down to their students. I was on ASB and we had numerous difficulties when it came to dealing with the higher up administration. The school culture is also a little lack luster and I think the schools could make changes to improve the community of their school district. Besides that, I think this school district is a great learning environment for students.
My experience in the Tigard-Tualatin school district has been pretty average. I attended Templeton Elementary from kindergarten to half of fifth grade. My family and I moved out of state for a few years but returned for my eighth grade year and on. Though Tigard High School was not my first choice, I was still able to enjoy my high school experience overall. There are some amazing teachers at this school who really care for you and want you to succeed. There is lots to be involved in at Tigard and the Tigard-Tualatin community in general. Additionally the academics are good. There are many opportunities to challenge yourself academically if needed and there is a variety of electives to take. Overall, I would have to give my experience 4 stars because I feel that being in the school district and Tigard High in general has set me up for success in the future.
