The overall academic experience was below what I would consider average for several reasons. Firstly, a few of the teachers there didn't even bother to teach most of the time and left their students in the air, I can recall an experience in physics were the teacher just left for fifteen minutes, I still have no idea where she went. Another reason for my rating was the lack of attention individual students receive, it's near impossible to get any one-on-one time with the teachers. There is also a concerning lack of college preparation, while there is a career center, the actual classes tend to skip over content that students will actually need to take the SAT or ACT.

Amazing district! Teachers are always willing to go above and beyond to see students succeed, it's very encouraging and definitely helps get through high school knowing you have someone rooting and supporting you always!
While attending Hidden Valley I can say that I had a overall good experience. The school did have its issues, but that mostly was because of the students who were misbehaving. The one thing that I did not like there was the way that some teachers taught. Yes, everyone has the right to teach the way that they want, but I felt that It made it harder for me to learn, for example: I took Spanish and it was my first class and the teacher inquired that we only speak Spanish in the classroom and that we could not speak English or else we would lose points for the day. It was hard for me to learn because first of all I had never taken a Spanish class and second how was I supposed to ask questions when I was confused. Beyond that the teaching at Hidden Valley was not all like just some classes. When I look at my overall experience it was a pretty good one!
