Three Rivers/Josephine County School District Reviews
I personally like the school district. It is not bad in any way. I personally do not like the students, well some. Their can be disrespect to teacher and some use of drugs on campus. The teachers are really good though and the staff are really nice. My favorite thing is the sports. Mainly soccer. The soccer team for North Valley high school is outstanding in many ways. The music program for this school district is really good in my opinion. North Valley band has risen and progressed after so long and is just making the school a better place.
The overall academic experience was below what I would consider average for several reasons. Firstly, a few of the teachers there didn't even bother to teach most of the time and left their students in the air, I can recall an experience in physics were the teacher just left for fifteen minutes, I still have no idea where she went. Another reason for my rating was the lack of attention individual students receive, it's near impossible to get any one-on-one time with the teachers. There is also a concerning lack of college preparation, while there is a career center, the actual classes tend to skip over content that students will actually need to take the SAT or ACT.
Amazing district! Teachers are always willing to go above and beyond to see students succeed, it's very encouraging and definitely helps get through high school knowing you have someone rooting and supporting you always!
