My closest friends will always be their during times of difficulty, (this doesn't mean that you can't potentially change your closest friends) whether it be just an 'off' day, or someone in your family died. They will always be there. Which is why going to school with friends, is the greatest thing ever! I go to a public high school in the state of Louisiana. We do, have: Guidance Counselors. They tell me about the different scholarships. They're so understanding and welcoming, and I just love them. Which is why I like to go back to school, because they make sure I am comfortable and adapted good classes and I can have actual conversations with them, without being 'talked down' negative. They have dunking contests, tug-a-rope, rap battles, dance battles, cotton candy machines, hula hoop contests, potato sack races and corn hole game (bean bag toss) .

There is two extremes: amazing or terrible. While some teachers are the most amazing human beings alive, some teachers do not show up to school or make any attempt at teaching. Many uncertified teachers make their way on campus every year. The A/C unit breaks consistently and makes the floors slippery from humidity and causes problems for asthmatic students. Experience in sports and community has been amazing, but often times honors students are forced to take unnecessary tests just for to make the school look good. If you are a good student, you will succeed as much as you can. If you struggle in school, you will get the worst teachers and only fall behind further. School board members never involve themselves in the schools and students themselves, and make little effort to change anything.
Terrebonne parrish schools may not have the best schools with amazing teachers and the best resources. Although it is the best place to make life long friends, memories, and find rare gems of teachers. Every school is unique and has their own kind of school pride Terrebonne high made their annual Hl rivalry week while South Terrebonne and Ellender had their long awaited camo football game. There’s always bad in the good but it’s the good that makes it worth pushing through the bad.
