Temple Independent School District Reviews
Temple ISD is awesome b/c they offer every possible avenue a student would want to be interested in and have build those passions into real potential for after high school Everything from Advanced Academics helping shave off College Costs for most in need, to our ever expanding CTE Programs for Trade-Skills Development. Our Fine Arts are all State Ranked, and our Athletics are the most intense/dedicated family we cheer on each game. We even have ROTC to help people interested in the military. Something for everyone.
Math Counts strongly encouraged thinking outside of the bow and finding different ways around problems while allowing me to learn different levels of trigonometry and calculus as a middle schooler. Temple also provided me and others the oppurtunity to head a head start on high school math in middle school by allowing us to take geometry as 8th graders. This had a trickle down effect into high school as I was able to take Calculus AB junior year and IB math senior year, something the large majority of juniors don't have the oppurtunity to do.
Very good school district. Cares about students, his or hers education, and safety. TISD teachers are top notch. All teachers are well prepared to cater to their students and their learning. Each high school student receives a chromebook upon entering their freshman year and gets to keep the computer after graduation. The school district has many advanced academic opportunities. These opportunities include AP, IB, and TBI. Many are familiar with AP and IB, but TBI is a middle college program partnered with Temple College where students go on a campus and take rigorous courses. After two years of all criteria is met the student has earned his or her associates degree even before graduating high school.
