Tatum Independent School District Reviews
Tatum High School has always been a good environment for me personally, but I know it is not like that for every student. I have many friends and most of the teachers are phenomenal at what they do. If I could change one thing about the school it would be for our school to have a diverse focus on all athletic events. Our school focuses heavily on football, basketball, and volleyball. Our sports programs are very good, but you would never know because the district puts all their effort into the three sports. A lot of our students do not even know we have golf, powerlifting, or tennis team. Our focus is clouded when it comes to the performing arts as well because the district's efforts are put solely into our "top" sports.
After graduating from Tatum back in May, I truly believe that the TISD is one of the best school experiences in Texas. At Tatum, I formed many close bonds to a wide variety of people, from my peers to my teachers. The curriculum challenged me yet allowed me to further peek my interest in education while offering me the freedom of living my life at a comfortable pace. Overall, I enjoy my time at Tatum and hope the faculty at the TISD continue to uphold the standards they showed me these past few years.
I had a great time in primary through middle school. However, if it was not for a couple of select teachers and a great principal, I would not have been prepared for college. There are also some very rude teachers and the students are also not the greatest. I did enjoy sometimes at Tatum High School, I would not recommend children to go here. The athletics are great, but as for education, there is a lack thereof.
