Tamalpais high school has a beautiful accessible campus. The school has two gyms, a pool, a weight room and football fields as well as soccer and baseball fields. Tamalpais high school is one of the most beautiful schools I've ever been too and it's staff, employees and teachers are all nice and fun to talk too!
Tamalpais high school gave me many opportunities to learn and being able to fit in among many other students from the area and even students from many other countries .

The ideas and content that you are able to learn within the Tamalpais Union Highschool district may vary depending on which Highschool you attend with the district. I for one was lucky enough to attend Redwood Highschool. With a wide selection of college(AP) and honors level courses. The only downside being that all of those high tier teachers that teach those classes are reserved for mainly upperclassmen. I would have loved to have the teachers that I have now earlier on in my academic career. Now the main problem that I see with Redwood is that fact that the student lack the ability to think outside of the box when it comes to solving problems. The academic culture simply revolves around getting an A in the class when in reality the most important part of school is the knowledge and skills that you get out of your education. Aside from this I have gotten a great education.
I have been frustrated with math classes especially, since Middle School for being placed in level below my ability. Despite my desire to advance to higher level, there seems to be no effort to encourage or push academic ability beyond the place I was locked into. For this reason and others, I was happy to transfer out of the traditional "big schools" into the alternative independent study program at Tamiscal High School (within the district). There, I have been listened to and encouraged to excel. The small class sizes, and even the online learning have prepared me for the new world of online school due to the pandemic. Simultaneously, I have been able to take community college classes and work in internships which are consistent with my career objectives. These are the strengths of Tamiscal's alternative programs, and what has helped me to thrive. I'm in a program that is right for me, in classes and in internships that I love, making friends and finding my direction.
