Sylvania City School District Reviews
Sylvania Northview has been an awesome environment for me to learn and explore my interests. There has been an abundant amount of opportunities to further my college prep plans. The teachers and admins so true desire to help students and be more than just an instructor. I wish more students out there had to same experiences that i have had in my last 3 years. During my search for scholarships I have been asked what I would change about a lot of different things. When it comes to schools I think my answers would be the same as most. Less drugs, vaping, drinking, and smoking. How do we achieve this? I'm not sure yet. I know it starts with us students but I like where the school is going with random drug tests. I hope that this makes my peers stop and think before they do something that may effect them the rest of their lives.
The Sylvania School District has always made individual care and support their priority. They go above and beyond to include all students and families so as no one is left out. They have given me and many others opportunities that not all schools can offer. Their endless efforts of involving the community toward a common goal is inspiring. The District is always looking for new ways to bring everyone together or to raise money or awareness for a good cause. Above all, they have implemented programs for students who require additional learning assets. There is something in place to overcome nearly any learning obstacle one may face. The search for improvement never ends.
My experience with Sylvania District was uneventful. In the high schools of Sylvania District area most of the teachers at the schools, do not care enough into making sure that their students are actually learning the material. The main focus for the teachers there is getting the teaching objectives done. The high schools do a very poor job of helping the students that just do not understand something's. I have seen first hand that the teachers in the high school do not care about the "dumber" kids of the class. And without helping them, they are set up to fail.
