Swan Valley School District Reviews
Personally, in my time at Swan Valley High School, I have felt very supported and assisted in everything I have done. The teachers are approachable, available, and genuinely concerned for your wellbeing. They have given me several opportunities in community service and class registration. These have allowed me to obtain several hours of service and take both online and AP classes that my schedule would not allow for without much dedication from my school administrators. If I were to see change anywhere in the school, I would prefer them to emphasize the importance of community service outside of the school system and I wish the school was less homogenous.
Clubs and sports sometimes depend on how much money you make and how connected your family is to other prominent families. Academics are good, lots of opportunities if you do well in your classes. I feel as though two classes (Genetics and AP world) set me up best for college. The SAT prep class helped to improve my scores greatly and I loved it. The elementary schools watch students and their progress closely and will work with the parents to make sure students are succeeding. Middle school is a hot ground for bullying and fights, but is getting better at handling it.
Absolutely love Swan Valley schools! From k to 12 , the teachers and staff really care each student. Yes, it is a closed community which comes with its own challenges. However, I truly believe SV is a great place to raise a family. Once a Viking, always a Viking.
