Sutton Public Schools Reviews
Sutton Public Schools is a great place to go to high school. Located in a small town, getting to know everyone is easy. It's a very personable school. The staff really care about each individual student. Like most high schools, the attitude of the students matters enormously. Sutton is no exception. Although respect is emphasized, students at Sutton can still be stereotypical high school students. Something Sutton does well is college readiness. Classes are tailored to include college concepts like discussion boards and independent essay-writing. Overall, Sutton Public Schools is a fantastic place to grow up and go to high school.
The environment is overall pretty welcoming. Teachers as well as students aren't afraid to get to know you as a person and a student. The administration does a fantastic job of keeping up with its students and their busy lives. Several extracurricular activities are offered for everyone. Our sports culture is pretty intense and the majority of the student body comes out to support not matter which sport it is. Support systems are important, so teams aren't afraid to rely on each every once in a while. Sutton welcomes new students as if they have already been here a couple of years to make their transition as easy as possible. Overall, SPS is an outstanding school.
This being my first and last year here in Sutton i would like to say i kind of have been enjoying it so far. I enjoy the students and teachers. The students are pretty nice and so are the teachers. I was able to make friends quickly and easily I actually feel accepted here. I would like to see a better teaching strategy though. Most of my teachers give presentation notes or mostly lecture and then give us a test. this happens mostly in my Government, Psychology, and Spanish 2 classes. I would also like to see less tight restrictions on lots of things, but maybe there are reasons for the tight rules that i may not know about.
