Surry County Schools is outstanding when it comes to student-teacher relationships; that is, teachers are almost always available to help students who are willing to communicate. However, the county administration is very hands off, and should be more involved with the body of students. Those who attend Surry County Schools have a right to know those who operate their school system!

My school offers many classes to further my education. They offer many AP classes, as well as the option to be dual-enrolled at the community college right beside the High School.
From my experience at Surry Central High School, I came to the realization that the people working actually cared about you, not only as a student, but as a typical teenager. They were always willing to help, whether it was schoolwork, or just needing to talk to someone in general. The teachers that I had throughout the four years I was there were so helpful and willing to get to know you.
