Sumter School District Reviews
My experience at Sumter 01 has been very changing in my life because not only it made me a different person but it also made me a better person on the inside. Allowing different students from different backgrounds come into one school teaches you a lot about being grateful at times while other times it’s more so like, you should give more back. The teachers are honest about your future and they understand that you have to earn the grade you get. The Administration keeps everything in tact so students aren’t a distraction to other students that wants to learn. The clubs allow you have groups that you can call family because the bond will become tight. The facility is great!
My experience with the Sumter School District has been a great one. My high school experience has been the best. My teachers have been available throughout my entire journey to ensure that I have a successful high school career. From being available before and after school if needed, to participating in fund raising and sports events, you couldnt ask for better faculty. The district provides school resource officers who have prided themselves in being familiar with both the students and the teachers. They have become not only our mentors but our friends as well. As students, we are able to address not only school related issues, but our personal ones as well. There is an open door policy for both parents and students so we can stay aware of events, academic progress, and the ability to relay and voice concerns. The administrators know us by name and make us feel at home although we are at school. They are firm but fair.
I’ve been a part of the Sumter School District for my entire school career. I’ve had a good experience there, for the most part, there are the occasional bumps in the road though. I’ve taken honors, AP, and IB classes over the past 4 years of high school, and it has honestly been the most rewarding aspect. I’ve also played soccer for the JV and Varsity teams from 7th to 12th grade. Sumter School District has provided me with many great academic, athletic, and community service opportunities that I may not have gotten anywhere else.
