Stratford School District Reviews
I have 4 children who have enjoyed going to school in Stratford . My eldest has since graduate and is currently enrolled at Central Connecticut State University. He enrolled has a honor freshman, gaining partial tuition covered during that first year. He is now in his third year still maintaining his honor student status while also working on campus as a resident assistant. I feel that my son was given great teaching, moral support, the value of hard work, striving for success, etc. Because of the hard work of the teachers and support staff I believe Stratford students have great success in their post secondary studies.
Stratford High School is a very interesting environment and going to that school keeps you on your feet, and definitely taught me to be prepared for anything. What I liked about the school was the community and how the students would show up for games and spirit week with creative ideas. The diversity was very huge as well. I loved how there were so many foreign exchange students and people of so many different ethnicity. Something I wish would change is how they approach issues and their assistance. Especially the main office/administrators. Whenever I approach them with issues at times there can be attitude from main office or the administrators never got back to me after reminding them of my issue multiple times.
Being a student at Stratford High School has made me into the person I am today. My sophomore to junior year I was in a health/medical program which taught me different things within a classroom setting. In my junior year for six week I was able to intern a St. Vincent’s Medical Center which prior to I had knowledge of knowing how to take blood pressure ,and vital signs within those six weeks I learned things such how to take of a wound vac, charting for your patients, administering medications, bedside manner. Currently I am on the Stratford High School dance team which we participate in things like basketball, football ,and our team also competes with other high schools on a national level.Within Stratford district they do not vote based on the students needs. I couldn’t say anything great about my district I think they should take consideration of our opinions considering we are the ones that want to strive ,and being successful students.
