It's a close-knitted school which means that each classroom is more of a tutor, one-on-one experience. However, student enrollment is steadily declining which means there is a lot of clubs being dropped or have barely any active members.
Stamford is a good school, teachers are great, and they try to help you anyway possible. Its a good school students are crazy but kind and friendly. Guidance councilors help out anyway possible. They help out with problems at home and keep everything confidential unless you want them to say something and they help out with college stuff and they set you with people that can possibly sponsor colleges or pay for some of it.
Stamford Central School is an unique school nestled in the Catskill Mountains. There is a sense of family in this school that is like no other. At SCS we teach pre-k up to twelfth grade, which is very unusual but makes students feel at home. The teachers work very hard to help all of the students in the school. All of the teachers strongly believe in pushing the students to do their absolute best. Due to the rural surroundings, the diversity among the people is lacking. However, the people in the school truly care for everyone, which makes it an incredible place to attend everyday. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to attend this school for the last thirteen years of my life and I wouldn't change my experience for anything.
