St Vrain Valley School District Reviews
I really like the environment at St. Vrain. I always feel very safe at school and have various amounts of opportunities. There are many AP classes that give you opportunity to save money for future college plans. The sports are very good, and there are many high performing teams. I have enjoyed it all four years and it is a very supportive environment. This year, they added a new advisory schedule which I really dislike. It gives no value to students and is just a waste of time. Also the school lunches are very poor, so it was always important to bring your own lunch. Overall I have had a very good experience at the school!
SVVSD is a great school district, opportunities are moderately high. SVVSD however, can do a better job with inclusion with students of color, especially with raising the student of color population in advanced level courses, this is something they try to work on but aren't succeeding because of they forget to acknowledge students of color from low-income backgrounds for their input in a possible solution to this problem; they ask the wrong students or faculty. Internet access during the COVID-19 crisis isn't being reached by all students, I assume other Colorado school districts have a similiar issue.
I started in the St Vrain Valley School District my sophomore year of high school. The transition into the school was very easy everyone was very welcoming to me. The teachers and staff are there to help you and make sure that you are ready for your future outside of high school. They are welcoming to everyone that comes into the district. I think the school district prides themselves on working for students safety. I agree with that except I think that they can also be a bit more lenient with their snow days, because there have been days where we have still had school and my car was sliding around the entire way to school. Overall though I think the school district is very inviting and provide students with a great amount of opportunities including different sports, technology, and hands on activities.
