St. Louis Park Public Schools sees, inspires, and empowers each learner to live their brilliance in an environment that centers student voice and experience to create racially equitable learning that energizes and enhances the spirit of our community.
The District includes four elementary schools (Gr. K-5), one middle school (Gr. 6-8) and one high school (Gr. 9-12). The District educates children ages 0-5 and their families through Early Learning programs and services provided by Community Education. School age childcare and adult programs are also offered through Community Education. An award-winning senior program provides activities and engagement for seniors.

As a senior in the class of 2023, my experience of this school district was incomplete. There were many junctures at which I was very unimpressed with the administration, though I admit my bias in my younger years of schooling. In my later years, I have been able to get a deeper view of the administration of both the high school admins and the district administrators, and that has served to relieve most of my concerns about way this district is run. However, I believe that both the middle and high school NEED to fix student behavioral issues before they can progress, the middle school more so. This district has good leadership, and is heading in the right direction, but needs to have certain core restructures to truly be an elite school once more
My children go to St. Louis Park Public Schools and are having a great experience. I would recommend this district for anyone who is interested in their child having an experience that is engaging and supportive of their learning.
I can safely say that if I had gone to a different school district, I would be a completely different person. I went through the Spanish immersion program K-12, and I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity. The city’s middle school is okay: academically, it's good; socially, it's a hard time for everyone. I can say similar things about the high school, however I’m glad to have attended. For honors classes, there are both AP and IB, due to the option of the IB diploma. There are plenty of activities, sports, and clubs to join, as well as very strong music programs. I met some of my best friends through orchestra, theatre, and my choice of classes. The student life is definitely entertaining: there’s never a dull moment in SLP.
