St. Johns Public Schools is a really good school program. The sports programs at Saint Johns are top-notch and primarily use actual teachers as their coaches. The High School has been one of the best experiences of my life and the culture of kindness and giving back are really strong here. While there are some flaws, including a lack of diversity, and the Middle School is limited for advanced student's opportunities. It is a very good district though.
Often conflict with counselors when trying to push myself academically. They often don't want to put more effort in than the absolute minimum and students struggle with them over stuff that should be non-issues such as strong students not being allowed to take band because of a 10 minute schedule conflict two days a week or not letting students take extra courses because no one else every has despite the student having just completed an AP course and being the only student remaining as they were the only underclassmen. The other admin and faculty are very understanding and easy to work with and will often try and fight for the students with the counselors.
My favorite thing about st. John's is the community and the diverse array of personalities you encounter. I also love the teachers and the personable atmosphere they create while still teaching an engaging Cruiculum
