Top district in Florida! All the schools, elementary through high school are very good to attend. Each school strives and advances each year, and is ahead compared to other school districts in the state of Florida. All of the schools I have attended in St. Johns County have been excellent and have helped me prepare for my future.

St. John's schools are over crowded and the student teacher ratio is much higher than the stated 15:1. In high school it's more like 25:1. My son attends middle school and his computer class has 47:1. Home builders are building new homes so quickly that the school system can't keep up. The school district has built a few new elementary schools, but no new high schools. Coming from another state, my children think their classes are too easy, and a year or two behind what they were learning in New York. Do your own research and you will see SAT, ACT and PSAT scores aren't that impressive when compared to other states. The school lunches are horrible. My son told me last year in his science class one of the students was sitting in a sink in the lab. When I complained, I received no follow up. I wish we would have done better research. We thought we were moving to an area with an amazing school district. Keep looking...it doesn't exist here.
At St. John's county you discover a never before seen level of education. I love going to school and hate saying goodbye. It provides a friendly environment that students can feel comfortable learning in and their teachers are phenomenal! The schools provide activities you can enjoy, sports to keep children active and a non bullying enviorment. Thank you so much for allowing us, the citizens to learn and improve society as we know it. Education is important and without it we Americans would be lost. Remember to stay in school and strive for a better future!
