St. Johns County School District Reviews
Review St. Johns County School District
At St. John's county you discover a never before seen level of education. I love going to school and hate saying goodbye. It provides a friendly environment that students can feel comfortable learning in and their teachers are phenomenal! The schools provide activities you can enjoy, sports to keep children active and a non bullying enviorment. Thank you so much for allowing us, the citizens to learn and improve society as we know it. Education is important and without it we Americans would be lost. Remember to stay in school and strive for a better future!
This school district is really great- the best in Florida actually for Public schools. The high schools here have "academies" that allow the students that participate in them to leave high school with a two year certificate such as being certified as a biotechnition's assistant- which looks really good for medical school. Another high school has a bank on campus that the students can work at to learn financial literacy, St. Augustine high school has an agricultural program, and Nease High School has an IB program which transitions students for college quite well. I would highly recommend this district if you are moving to Florida.
St. Johns County School district is one with highly educated instructors, and those who truly care about our futures. The staff at the elementary, middle, and high school that I have attended have always had a safe and friendly environment. The reason for the 4 star review instead of 5 is primarily based off of the amount of testing. Students, including myself have stayed up to unethical hours and getting minimal amounts of sleep because of the constant stress and pressure of getting a good grade. Towards the end of the year we put all of our knowledge from the year into multiple tests. The fact that I had to take EOC's (end of course) in classes such as Algebra 2 and US History ON TOP of District managed tests (online testing) is insane, and shouldn't occur. This is causing students to stress on not only one but two tests at the end of the year FOR ONE CLASS.
