I went to Springville from preschool through second grade and my experience was overall pretty good. It was a very small school, about 35 in my class. This was very nice because I was able to be close with my peers and have a safe learning environment. The reason we moved schools is because they weren’t pushing me to be my best and to my personal academic needs. It felt like everyone was on the same page and there wasn’t much done to go above and beyond.
Springville is a small school and everybody knows everybody. Students excel in extra curricular activities and have gone to state in volleyball for the past three years and basketball for the past four years. There are some excellent teachers, but as in any school, some teachers who do not teach well. Springville lacks in guidance from the counselor and nutritious lunch meals.
The size of Springville is small but the opportunities they create are amazing. Athletics, fine arts, stem programs, they have it all. They join with Kirkwood Community College to offer college courses for Juniors and Seniors. Their teachers care about their students and the administration is involved in coaching and other activities so they are really part of the student body. All the students, from elementary to high school support and interact with each other. I think it is a solid school and offers success to every student.
