Springfield School District No. 186 Reviews
I attend Springfield High School and from my experience I can say district 186 cares about its students. The three major high schools in Springfield are undergoing much needed renovations with the most going to Springfield High School within the next decade. The one-hundred year old school is finally going to be new again. Furthermore, the teachers care about their students in every class. They go to great lengths to make sure their students understand what they are teaching and if they don't there is always hours outside the office available. If a student cares and puts in effort I believe no teacher will let a student fail.
Overall Springfield School District 186 is pretty good. Some things that they provide well are a wide array of activities and sports for students to participate in, hire great teachers that truly connect and help to nurture the students, and get parents and the community involved in the education process. They understand that this generation is the future of our country so they are providing us with everything they can to help us grow into our full potential. However they could provide more challenging classes and coursework to help prepare students for college and crack down more on security.
Springfield School District #186 serves a diverse community. There is great diversity within our schools, religion, ethnicities, socio economic differences make our district colorful. I have learned a great deal about others because of this diversity. Our district offers special services to the very bright and gifted student as well as the ones that struggle with learning. My classes were catered to my learning needs and speed. I feel my educational experience from pre-k through high school has prepared me to go out into the world as a well rounded learner.
