Springfield Local School District (Holland) Reviews
Springfield High School is a great overall school! The teachers are amazing and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with sports, clubs, and other extracurriculars. Above all things, the diversity at Springfield High School is unbeaten. The school culture at SHS is great and for the most part, students get along and have a devoted sense of school spirit. I'm proud to be a future alumni of Springfield High School!
Springfield High School has never done me wrong. They push their students to work towards the future they want. They now practice the A.L.I.C.E. lock down. I feel like the staff has their students safety, health, and future, in their best interest. The teachers create amazing bonds with their students, which persuades the students to want to participate in class. The teachers are adamant on prepping the students for college. They are usually understanding that we have work, clubs, sports, and other classes that may take priority. The only thing that I would like to see changed, is how the sports get more attention than the little clubs. Most of the clubs have a fee to join; the teachers and students have to pay for what they want in that club. On the other hand, the sports get new equipment and a new field. Our school has THE BEST- school spirit. #DevilNation!! I love my school and I could not think of a better district to grow up in, before leaving for college.
I would say Springfield is a very diverse atmosphere compared to other schools in that area. I believe I got a good education while attending school here, yet they could have done better with getting kids read for college. The got rid of their ACT prep class which I think was not a great idea. Also, there should be a class or extra curricular activity that helps you apply to colleges and how to figure what you might what to do later in life. My consular did not really help me with these things like they are supposed to. Besides these minor things, I believe I came out well rounded and well educated.
