I loved my experiences at Spokane High School! My teacher had hearts of gold. Each one of them would ask me how my day was going with such genuine expressions on their faces; and they always made sure that my needs were met. I had some teachers who worked hard to make sure that I succeeded, and then there were teachers that made me work hard to succeed. I learned a lot from my four years at Spokane and will take my knowledge with me wherever I go. One thing I would like to see change in my school is the lunch food. It is poor quality that lacks flavor and nutrition. After every meal I felt like I needed to wash my insides.
Spokane High School is a very close-knit community which is very helpful when it comes to school spirit and finding people who care a great deal about the quality of your education. I loved being able to walk into the school, knowing that I would be able to find my teacher, ask a question based on our homework, and that teacher would easily know how to convey the things I needed to know for my learning style. Smaller classes mean that you get to talk one on one with the teachers and they actually know what works best for your learning style, whether it be hands on or watching someone else do it.
I like that school is a reason to get out of the house every day, and I get to hangout with my friends. I like the after school activities, and the variety of sports/clubs the school offers. I like that I'm able to go to a school where I feel safe. I dislike the fact that I have to get up so early, some of the teachers don't really help the students, the food is sometimes edible, the amount of homework stresses me out, some of the students are really mean to the people around them, the communication level is very poor, and sometimes, I come home and cry for a few hours.
