Spencerville Local School District Reviews
I enjoyed everything about Spencerville. I like how it is a small community so you have the chance at a more one on one experience with faculty, students, and other members of the community. It is very easy to get involved in various groups, which helps you feel more connected to the school and community. It is a very safe environment and everyone is well aware of safety procedures and routes. Although, I do think they could better prepare students for college by giving more information about how to take out loans, how much time they should be putting into their studies, and how important it is to be involved in activities so you can meet new people and begin networking.
Spencerville is a tight-knit community. The school is the heart of the village. Most recognize Spencerville from its successful music programs. I am honored to be a part of this music program which has such an impact on the students, as well as the community. On several occasions, the community is brought together through the music performances we put on.
I would very much like to see a weighted class system and a change in the grading scale. If the advanced classes were worth more, the students who are maybe getting a B in calculus would be equivalent to the students who are getting an A in senior math.
