Spencerville Local School District Reviews
I enjoyed everything about Spencerville. I like how it is a small community so you have the chance at a more one on one experience with faculty, students, and other members of the community. It is very easy to get involved in various groups, which helps you feel more connected to the school and community. It is a very safe environment and everyone is well aware of safety procedures and routes. Although, I do think they could better prepare students for college by giving more information about how to take out loans, how much time they should be putting into their studies, and how important it is to be involved in activities so you can meet new people and begin networking.
I would very much like to see a weighted class system and a change in the grading scale. If the advanced classes were worth more, the students who are maybe getting a B in calculus would be equivalent to the students who are getting an A in senior math.
Spencerville Local School District has been going through many changes in the last few years; some of which are positive and some of which could use some re-thinking. The school itself is growing rapidly but the building it beginning to struggle with accommodation.
