I really liked this school district because I felt as though most of the teachers really wanted us to succeed. It was a college prep school, so we had some harder classes and after going through these courses I felt like I have been properly prepared for college. The counselors made sure that everything was in order for me to graduate and that nothing went wrong throughout my highschool experience.

Overall it was a great School. Compared to what I have heard about other districts it is one of the top. Saftey was a big thing, we had an officer at most schools and followed ALICE in case of shootings. Food was average, they met all the State standards on amounts of vegetables, fruits, etc. however most times the food was not palatable. Teachers often only praised those succeeding then ignored those struggling. Only a few teachers actually put in the effort to seek out all students no matter grades, background, etc.
Southwest Allen County Schools has changed my life ever since I began going to school here as early as Kindergarten. As the years have come and gone, I have built great relationships with both my teachers and fellow students. Currently, Homestead High School has been preparing me very well for my future education. I have been enrolled in Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, and Honors classes in order to ready myself to continue my education beyond high school.
