My Experience at Southside High School was very good . From Academics to sports, extracurricular activities and just the whole process of getting there students ready for college. There are kids who just don’t care about Academics , Don’t show up to school , feel like they can do whatever they want. Then at the end of the year they are struggling last minute to make up credits and pick up their grades . Though are school finds a way to help out all students. From my experience , being in a sport or some type of extracurricular activity. Really helps with grades . You have to have high grades and be eligible to even participate. It’s just another step to help you with scholarships , and easy path to college .

The teachers had no passion in what they did. I feel like I was not successfully set up for college. However there was a select few teachers that did make my academic experiences worth while, I feel the overall feel of the school was horrid. Administration should work on the importance of all students rather than certain administrators children first. I will always have cardinal pride however this was because of the passion my coach had for what he did. The teachers should be able to do the same for those who were interested in other things. I hope the school really steps up for the students as we are the future of this nation.
The teachers are excellent, but the school lacks basic resources ranging from copy paper for teachers to toilet paper in the bathrooms. The music department is currently undergoing renovations and is getting a new facility with equipment they deserve. The staff is wonderful, the teachers are a delight and they truly create a good environment and fun learning experience for the students, but the school is really outdated and dirty.
