I have gone to Southeast Polk my whole life, and have never hated the school as a whole. It is a great school district with many opportunities. Southeast Polk has many clubs/sports students can join, and have many college credit classes that lots of high schools don't offer. They also offer classes that other schools do not that benefit us and what we want to do with our future. One thing I would like to change about my school is the amount of cliques we have and the favoritism between some teachers/staff with students. With the cliques in my school, it can be intimidating for others to participate in school events because friends stick with their friends and don't usually leave their groups to meet with new people and get to know them.

I have gone to Southeast Polk since I was in kindergarten, and my two sisters before me went to SEP from kindergarten-graduation as well. The staff and resources, in my opinion, is what makes this school stand out so much. Every teacher is so willing and happy to help their students to the best of their abilities. Classes range in difficulty levels, but the available help and resources allows to make a good grade very possible. The atmosphere of SEP is always fun, especially when it comes to sports. We get the most excited about football and wrestling season. Our assemblies are full of fun and positive energy. I would be more than willing to send my children to Southeast Polk.
Southeast Polk is full of opportunities, if you choose to take advantage of those offered in high school, you can graduate with almost all of you college general education requirements for college out of the way thanks to their AP and dual enrollment opportunities. The student body has tons of school spirit and many students have athletic success. There was not a ton of diversity when I attended, but hopefully that will change. Every experience in life is all about what you make it, and attending school at Southeast Polk gives you all the tools to have an exciting and educational high school experience. Not to mention the talented and gifted programs the promote with their younger students and the character and moral values they instill in students, all the way from pre-school to senior high.
