The staff and teachers are very patient and easy to talk to. The curriculum prepares you for college adequately. The only problem I have is the food although there are days where the meals are really good, most of the times it’s not the best and pretty limited. It’s obvious that the county is trying its best to make everyone comfortable and safe and as a student I feel safe at my school. The county also has a rigorous course levels such as AP and IB class in some schools which are really beneficial in preparing for college. What can be improved is the number of college and career fairs we have cause those are really helpful too. The amount of scholarships available for students also a variety for students of all color and background. Overall there are already solid attempts at improving school experience, such as the career and college fair I talked about that was just implemented so I understand the reason why it’s limited. Also informational meetings on certain programs are helpful.
Park High School Scholars graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in an increasingly global and diverse society. As a culturally rich community, we ALL learn and grow together through diverse opportunities that foster culturally competent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking that enhance post secondary readiness AND contributions to local and global communities.
I like south Washington county schools, I've gone to 4 in total and have had decent experiences at all that I went to. One think however I think South Washington county schools could improve at is communicating. Most of the schools I've gone to, to the best of my knowledge haven't done the best job at putting out important information such as dates for things in deadlines for things with much notice in advance. Overall however my experience was good.
