South Spencer County School Corporation Reviews
I am a student at south spencer high school and have been apart of the south spencer school corporation all my life. I believe that we have a very strong community and we do great in our competitiveness in sporting events. I do believe we lack in the areas of college readiness, or even preparing for state testing. We are not getting properly prepared for what is to come next and that could damage our futures. The faculty and staff at south spencer have great ideas to make south spencer great, but they never quite follow through and the students are suffering.
I have had a fairly average time. The administartaion is toxic. There are very good teachers in the math department and in the arts department. The foreign language department has been shrunk to just spanish, with a teacher who is not the best. Some other teacher like to preacher their views on students too. The facilities had been updated over the past summer wich has been nice. Over all South Spencer is an average school.
The thing that I liked about South Spencer Corporation is that they have wonderful teachers that know what they're doing and they try to get our math scores for Istep/ILEARN (iLearn is starting this year 2018) by making us kids do XtraMath for the first few minutes of our 6th period class and it covers addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. But back to the point, South Spencer Schools aren't the world's GREATEST schools but they are some very decent schools. I enjoy them and I hope that I never have to leave them till i'm out of high school.
