It wasn’t the best and some of the teachers were very rude and expressed favoritism, but there was no real divide in the students. Everyone for the most part got along and helped each other when needed. The only really bad part was some the teachers not teaching or being unhelpful to students when they are struggling in a class. Everything else about the school was decent and for the most part, students were able to feel safe and supported by their peers and teachers.
I do not know if I can say I like a lot about South Point. One thing I would like to change about my school is the spirit and happiness that we lack in our students. My school has came to a point where the days are dull and students come to school more as a job. Then to come to school to have fun learning and socializing. I feel like the technology in our generation keeps us from socializing with each other. Causing students to be out of place or unconformable being them self. Students come to school with their head down and ready to go home and stuff their faces in their technology. I think if the happiness and socialization in school would change then it would also help stop bulling. Bulling comes from abused, mad, angry, mean, and broken children. If schools would make their students feel more welcomed and loved, then there could be a change.
During my time in South Point Local Schools, I enjoyed the enthusiasm and school spirit, as well as the camaraderie between the community. I enjoyed the teachers, and felt all were successful in helping me learn. Most of all, I loved the band program. Without it, I would be on an unstable path in life, and would have no direction. If there would be anything I could change, it would be the administration, to help void the school system of corruption and politics, and focus on the future of our students.
