South Lyon Community Schools Reviews
South Lyon Community Schools are the only schools I've ever attended and therefore, it's my home. Which is why I enjoy going there, the familiarity of it all. Some of the things I like is the community aspect. For example when the high school has its annually Red Out game, everyone shows up and shows out by bringing positive energy, wearing red, entering raffles and donating to the cause, heart disease prevention. Overall it's a great community environment however the things I would like to see change is a greater appreciation and support for ALL sports, not just football. Most sports are often overlooked when it comes to getting new uniforms or equipment. Which isn't fair to the athletes on those teams who work just as hard as football players. Now I know there are a lot of factors that go into the budget, but it would be nice if funds were disputed evenly.
The atmosphere this should community creates an enhanced Learning experience for all of its students. The south Lyon community schools provide a safe and supportive and student positive environment for learning all the students here you're welcomed in all of our extracurriculars. Not only do we have a strong support for all of our sports teams we also have a strong begging for academic programs such as national honor Society, math club and HOSA. Overall the south Lyon community schools hope repair it students for life beyond the classroom and set them up to be successful in the workplace both with education and School culture.
My time at South Lyon East has prepared me very well for college and play Tucker High School. The teachers at East are very involved and creative in the classroom as well as outside the classroom. Although our clubs are lacking I have seen a lot of growth since I was a freshman and I predict there will continue to be growth due to the fact that South Lyon East is such a new school. South Lyon East has a great sense of cool spirit even though our sports teams are still trying to establish themselves. Overall it has been a great experience.
