South Callaway County R-II School District Reviews
I’ve been attending South Callaway since 3rd grade and believe me when I tell you that the staff works diligently to prepare students for their individual futures and to keep the facilities clean and well-maintained. South Callaway prides itself on student and community involvement, which can be seen from the many times we’ve together for sporting events, club activities, etc.
This school puts it's main priority on football. They have lovely sports facilities, but classes in the high school are limited. They are no longer replacing staff that leaves, making offerings even worse. There is no gifted program at all, and the kids are prohibited from advancing beyond their peers. Parent involvement is discouraged, unless it is ptso or sports.
I like that we have the advanced programs and technologies at our school so the students are allowed to participate in more advanced classes and college courses including ITV courses during their high school career. I also like that the students are involved with the school and support their teams. I would like to see more students participating in our dual credit program instead of "taking it easy senior year".
