Somonauk Community Unit School District No. 432 Reviews
Somonauk schools are very inviting to students of all kinds. The elementary school invites students to be adventurous, so the children never lose interest in learning. The middle school has many different programs and clubs that make all the students feel included. This school helps make students feel comfortable in their own skin and environment. The high school is full of spirit and is just one big family. There is always a student that is willing to step up and help out, and every event is filled with positivity. The staff members in every school are amazing and hold their students to a high standard, helping them to graduate at their full potential.
Pretty good high school experience, most of the teachers are great and care very much about their students. However, the school board can't seem to hire very good math teachers for some reason. The school is very small but that helps the students feel close and like family. I wish they offered more AP classes as there are only 3 or 4 currently. Somonauk Highschool was also given the bronze award by US News & World Report.
My experience at Somonauk has been a really good one. It is a small high school with under 300 students, all the teachers know you by your name and have a relationship with you. We are like a big family. If you are having a bad day the teachers will ask you what’s wrong and will try to help you out. Since we are a small school we don’t have a lot of AP classes, but with the classes we do have, they are really good and focused on the AP test.
