Smoky Valley Unified School District Reviews
The school is situated in a wonderful community that allows students and staff to expand learning options and obtain cutting-edge equipment; the opportunity to attend this school will prepare students for a technologically driven future. The community and school, however, do not cater to a very diverse population and exposure to a more varied and realistic world is limited.
Smoky Valley provides a lot of opportunities other school do not. The school itself is good and well maintained, but the teachers and the people are another story. Half the teachers have been there for more than 10 years making it impossible for them to be fired or replaced, and many of them care less about how the student learns. It's more if they can pass the class and memorize stuff long enough to get a good grade on a test. I like going to school to learn and my main goal is to become a better writer. The teachers are average, but the students get pretty bad. I have never seen such a racists community in my entire life, it makes me want to go back to the small town I used to live in with little to nothing to offer me. I'm not saying everyone here is that way because there are also amazing students here, but when the majority is making guests at our school want to leave the problem isn't the school it's the ignorant people in it.
My experience was pretty average. Although the food and diversity of my school was not the best, the academics and readiness forncollege subsided the issues.
