Smithtown Central School District has great teachers who help out when asked. They have good academics, and if you want to go ahead, you can do so. The students are pretty great too, there has only been one fight in any of my school in my entire time at Smithtown Central School District. They take student safety seriously although their sports are very lacking. They also provide many clubs for the students who want to participate.
I grew up and attended Smithtown schools from kindergarten to high school. Smithtown schools are excellent and if you put in the hard work, will prepare you well for college. There is a variety of honors/ AP courses , clubs and sports. The parents are involved and you can see how so much of taxes go into the schools. As for diversity/ racism , I have never heard any racist words/ comments during my 12 yrs in Smithtown schools. The town itself is a lot more diverse than when I attended the schools but there is no law against certain ethnicities/ races from moving to the town.
I am currently a senior at Smithtown High School East. I have found there are several classes offered that have prepared me for my next step in life. The teachers and staff are very friendly and approachable!
