Sioux City Community School District Reviews
Sioux City Community Schools offers a variety of opportunities to be successful in school and in life. Not only are there 3 big public schools, there is a career academy located downtown to further students' exploration in career pathways. Athletics and extracurriculars are a big part of each school, and schools compete at the highest class possible. The teachers and community are friendly and helpful. Everyone wants you to succeed here and it's great!
I had four children in the Sioux City CSD. All four attended grades K-12. Two of the four received Early childhood/Preschool Services. Overall I found teachers to be dedicated, professional, often expressing and demonstrated a "team approach"with parents. I saw this "partnership" often demonstrated at the middle and high school levels. My greatest concerns came from Elementary Schools. Nepotism and Cronyism was common practice. Teachers with Principal support refused to follow Individual Student Plans. District Administration attitude toward parents concerns were unimportant.
The District of Sioux City Community schools is pretty great! Many nice people working and a good environment. The district helps students with many college resources and their after high-school life. Parent involvement is something this district does have. Many things parents could see students involved in. The activities the district offers are a variety of things. It goes to after school clubs and before school. All ages up to high school.
