Simi Valley Unified School District Reviews
Royal has a great Air Force Junior ROTC program that gives students the opportunity to serve their community. If students are interested in leading a team or interested in the military, the two ex-military instructors that teach it will be very supportive and fun teachers! The instructors also go out of their way to support their cadets if they want to go military or college. Very supportive!
Enrolled at Royal and participated in Marching Band and IB program. Great teachers, great experience!
I have lived in Simi Valley all of my life, and overall, I am happy with the education and the opportunities that I have received! As an advocate for environmental protection and equal rights, I would like to see more activities getting students involved in helping the environment. Perhaps water refill stations or more vegetarian/ vegan lunch menu options. I currently attend Royal High school and am an IB Diploma candidate. I love my teachers and I think they do an excellent job at preparing me for challenges. The multitude of lock downs is concerning. The bathroom in the girls locker room concerns me, as most of the stall doors are broken.
