Sierra Sands Unified School District Reviews
I recently graduated from Burroughs High School and I feel pretty mediocre about the school itself. I had some amazing teachers during the four years, but I also had some less than adequate. As someone who played some sports, I was not impressed with the program. While certain sports seemed to get the most funding, others were left to figure out how to sponsor the sport on their own. The program could’ve been more organized and some of the coaches left you wondering how they got the position in the first place. Recently the school underwent renovations and despite the millions of dollars budget, the outcome hardly showed the price tag. The nicest building on the campus is still the Engineering building even though that was not part of the renovations. However despite some negatives, I had some amazing teachers that have been of great influence and inspiration. Overall the district is average, but it could put more effort into striving to best meet the needs of every student.
Overall great school district with caring and kind staff. The school district has been in Ridgecrest since the beginning of the town, and offers many school options within the town of Ridgecrest. The sierra sands unified school district is one of the best school districts, in my opinion, and help students in any way that they can. Throughout my years of attending school not once have i felt of changing schools, or districts. They get an excellent rating because of their helpfulness, kindness, and care.
I had many good teachers, but during my many years there I experienced the few teachers who I did not connect with and did not learn as much from them as I could. The district offers many different classes and they have a variety of sports and clubs; I have the opportunity to participate in both clubs and extracurricular on campus and have had a fantastic time.
