Sherwood is a small school district in rural Missouri, which means it's a little more difficult to come across opportunities, and that is the ONLY reason my review is 4 instead of 5 stars. The administration does everything they can to break down this barrier and offer experiences to students regardless of how little resources are available to them. The emotional support system is something I doubt you could find anywhere else. Because the school is so small, teachers and administration are incredibly aware of each and every student and what they face both inside and outside of school. Furthermore, they will stop at nothing to help kids feel loved, understood, and valued. Every time I find myself wishing for a bigger school, I just remind myself of how caring everyone is at Sherwood.
Teachers are very caring about their students and the students success. Staff is super friendly, small town so everyone know everyone. Its definitely a community worth being part of.
I like the small feel of it. I love the fact that the teachers treat the students with the respect that they show to their coworkers. I have never felt belittled by a teacher. I love the size of classes, both graduating and classroom sizes.
