Sharyland is an amazing district that motivates students to grow and become leaders in their community. They shape students to be responsible as well as, honest and hardworking. This is done by placing high expectations on scholars and supporting them when they feel like giving up not mattering if its academic, athletic, or personal. This district has exceptional educators that will go above and beyond to aid as much students as possible while sometimes using tough love to get through their students. They truly want the best for their students and give them the tools to thrive in life.

Considered by most in south Texas to be the “rich” schools, it is an entire school district based on a foundation of smoke and mirrors. Although education-wise it is very good, socially it is a disaster. Many events go undocumented to preserve the appearance of perfection when in fact many awful things do happen. Socially, the schools consists mainly snobby students who are rude to teachers and revolve their lives around images. Unlike many other high schools, this group is a loud majority. I’ve had friends leave the district and say they would not come back based solely on the fact that the student body is so untamed. You are either “with” these people or casted aside by them. However, if you are looking for great academics in all fields this is a great district.
Sharyland school system works hard to groom their students for a life outside of highschool. The teachers and faculty work in solidarity to effectively impact the lives of those in the school district. I would have liked to see a more aggressive approach towards implementing dual-credit programs during my Senior year. Otherwise, the school is a great place that insures your child's growth.
