Quality education and teachers. The teachers are welcoming and supportive of our children's progress and ambitions. Sharon High School is recently built new, so they have a better facility. The school bus is free up to grade 6, but only if you live far away (2 miles if I'm not mistaken).
Food needs to be healthier. Kids keep eating burgers, hot dogs, pizza, and bread for the whole school year. Also, after-school programs or clubs cost but the children didn't really learn anything. Elementary and middle school language classes are not useful, we ask the kids to speak the language they took and they can't. Schools and parents organizations keep asking for donation.

The Sharon Public Schools is a school system like no other in many ways- if you are a parent and want to be super involved AND you are certain your children are super intelligent and high achieving/competitive by nature - this is your school district. If you have any inkling your child may have learning challenges or not be a total self-starter - stay far away. Teachers in both situations are always trying to help but if your child does not fit the model they will be targeted - there is little understanding of anything akin to ADHD/ASD. There is a multitude of things we love about the SPS schools - our oldest models this competitive type A student and she thrives, however, our youngest has some learning challenges and it is a never-ending battle to fight the administration for the right services and to deal with the narrow mentality of students that only see a person's self-worth connected to their ability to score highly on standardized test and assignments.
Sharon public schools are very academically rigorous, and large amounts of pressure are constantly placed on students to go to college. The administration drives out almost any teacher that cares about the student body and is severely understaffed
