Shallowater Independent School District is an outstanding school with an extraordinary student body. My experience on attending this district has never once brought up a bad memory because they're all good memories. As the class of 2024 I can't wait to graduate and start anew in another school because I know that I'm prepared to open my wings and fly to greater opportunities and it's all thanks to the district for making me college ready. Like we all say "Born a mustang, always a mustang", I will never forget where I came from and who made me who I am academically. So, Thank you for everything Shallowater ISD.
The school district is very political. If you don’t work for the school, your kids will have a hard time at this district. It is competitive, but can be cruel in making sure outsiders do not succeed. They value sports, above everything else, and will make sure the athletes make the best grades, no matter their dedication to the class. Great education, poor community support.
I think that Shallowater has a typical small farm town feel. Rich people in Agriculture, athletes or generational stardom seems to overrun the population. I have had some incredible teachers and some that have been less than helpful. Overall, I am happy with my education and treatment at SISD.
