I loved my experience in the Shakopee public school district! The teachers were always engaging and never left a student behind. The culture was diverse and inviting to all. The students in this school district are annoying, but that's at every school. We have good teachers and the food is average, and the most special thing about Shakopee is the academies at the high school. The academies break up by student interest. We have a health wing, an art wing, a tech wing, and a couple of others. It didn't help me much since they started this only a couple of years ago, but the goal is to lead students starting freshmen year to the kind of career path they will explore more when they get to college. So our district is becoming very college-ready.

Shakopee high school is not a bad high school, but the food is not good and some set of rules are ridiculous. Most of the teachers that I have met are really entertaining and very helpful. Although the teachers are great, the courses are limited and not explained and overall not a interesting and do not prepare students for life after high school. Schools in general showed try to put classes that help students do things that are needed in life after high school. Shakopee schools should try to put in programs that help develop skills and basic things in adult life after school.
