My expierience so far at Richfield High School has been amazing! The staff is so welcoming here and all my peers have always been super kind towards me. At Richfield High, everyone is accepted for who they are. The new school was built only 2 years ago, it is very clean and still new. Richfield High has a lot of extracurricular activities going on and they are so fun to be apart of! The best part of my school experience is going to the games and being in the student section with all of my amazing peers cheering on our Wildcat teams!
Overall I've had a decent experience here. Sports teams are fun, but we don't win often at all. A few of the teachers are so bad at teaching to the point that it's frustrating, but luckily there are also a few excellent ones here and there. I'd say very limited classes available to take, but it is a pretty good mix of fun classes and dreadful ones. Overall I'd say that South sevier is a pretty average school.
Overall, Sevier school district has tried to be inclusive, but they fall short. There is a lot of pressure to do sports over clubs, drama, art, and academics. Many of the LGBTQ+ students, including myself, haven't always been appreciated and accepted. It is nice to know that some teachers try.
One thing that I do appreciate about my school is the fact that we have dorms for Native American students.
